SKE’s dedication to our clients continually delivers positive results for various types of vehicle accidents. A portion of our successes in trial are listed below:

Highway Lane Change Crash Involving a Box Truck and Passenger Car

Essex County Superior Court, NJ

Defense Case – Box Truck

The analysis of vehicle damage and use of 3D modeling provided the jury an understanding of the orientation of the vehicles at the time of impact, validating the defendant’s version of events and disproving the plaintiff’s version. The jury agreed and returned a defense verdict.

Tractor-Trailer and Passenger Car Sideswipe Collision

U.S. District Court, Southern District of NY

Defense Case – Tractor-Trailer

The analysis of GPS data showed the tractor-trailer was not in the area of the accident. Full-scale crash testing replicated the damage and measured severity below injury thresholds. The jury returned a defense verdict.

Out-of-Control Passenger Vehicle Collides with an Oncoming Tractor-Trailer

Bronx County Supreme Court, NY

Defense Case – Tractor-Trailer

The reconstruction analysis performed based on physical evidence left on the roadway, as well as vehicle damage, determined that the driver of the tractor-trailer was left with insufficient time ad distance to avoid the out-of-control vehicle. The jury returned a defense verdict.

Low-Speed Crash Between a Parked Vehicle and a Driverless Rolling School Bus

Union County Superior Court, NY

Defense Case – Bus

Black Box (ACM) data from the parked vehicle collected during our inspection indicated that the impact severity was below 5 mph, which supported the speed of the rolling bus as measured using GPS during our testing. The collision force was below an injury threshold. The jury returned a defense verdict.

Pedestrian Runs Between Stopped Vehicles Mid-Block into a Passing Vehicle in the Opposing Lane

Bergen County Superior Court, NJ

Defense Case – Passenger Car

The reconstruction analysis and pedestrian visibility testing demonstrated to the jury that the vehicle operator could not see the pedestrian until he ran beyond the left side of the stopped vehicles. The accident was unavoidable by the driver. The jury agreed and returned a defense verdict.

Passenger Car Veers into a Tractor-Trailer

Suffolk County Supreme Court, NY

Defense Case – Tractor-Trailer

A full 3D documentation of the accident location and of the accident vehicles, as well as the latest technology in drone imaging and 3D scanning, were used to recreate the accident scene. Our expert walked the jury through this process, showed impact positions from multiple views, and demonstrated that his client could not have changed lanes. Our expert testimony led the jury to decide on zero percent fault for the defendant.

Truck Rollover Due to Tire Failure

Court of Common Pleas Allegheny County, PA

Plaintiff Case – Truck

The physical evidence confirmed that the loss of control due to tire failure was sudden and not recoverable for the driver. The jury agreed and returned a verdict in favor of the Plaintiff.

Limousine and Bus Sideswipe Collision

New York State Supreme Court, NY

Defense Case – Bus

The reconstruction analysis determined that the limousine was traveling behind the bus, and that as the bus started its left turn, the limousine driver accelerated and attempted to pass the bus before the left turn was completed. The EDSMAC simulation validated the defendant’s version of events. The jury agreed and returned a defense verdict.
